Bestial Folly. 2003.

"Leonardo's Battle of Anghiari fresco also exposed in the crudest terms the horror of war, which he unhesitatingly described as 'una pazzia bestialissima' (a most bestial folly). Indeed, Vasari's description of the painting opens with the words: 'Fury, hate and rage are as visible in the men as in the horses.'"
